Throttle Body Cleaning VG30E Instructions

I have been searching for a while now for some simple and concise

(stupidly easy) instructions on cleaning a VG throttle body.

Finally, after gathering some info from several different places I

cleaned my TB tonight. So, for all you other VG people looking

for an easy to follow write up (with pics) on how to do it...

look no further...

next time go to the dollar store:

intead of paying 2 dollars for a can of intake cleaner.. just buy them for a dollar each at a dollar store.

much cheaper that way.

good wirte up

Great write up and nice pics...just one thing i noticed...the gasket that you replaced is actually the wrong gasket. You used the gasket for the other side of the TB...Nissan sold me this one at first too! I went back to them and they corrected it...check out my write up for the part # of this gasket...VG TB cleaning...Really nice pics though! and easy understandale writeup!

what's also good is to pull out the two vacume lines directly BELOW the TB. because if you look carefully in the TB around the throttle plate area you'll see two holes. those two holes go into the two small vacume tubes under the TB.

pull them out of the TB so when the cleaning fluid comes back they won't drain down the vacume lines.

Good observation DanNY...I took the whole metal tube out and clean it out also...Might as well since it is apart!

Thanks guys - I thought it would help a few people out by making that write up - I took as many pics as I could to make things really simple.

Gasket - I know I have the wrong gasket in there...as I said in the write up, I had already taken apart the TB when I looked at the gasket and thought &$%$ ! wrong gasket! But hey...it still works...

That page will be up for atleast a year ..probably longer...Just to be safe, if you need it, just print it out or download it

If I've missed anything else in the write up or made mistakes... feel free to let me know and I will make the changes !
