what is the proper was to splice in to a power source

what is the proper was to splice in to a power source
how sould i tap into the clock or the fog lights parralel wiring or series?????

parallel.

The cheapest way is to get one of those splicer connections from radioshack or somewhere...the best way is to use a soldering iron and heat shrink and tap in solder and put the heat shrink on.

On powering stuff I think you are getting confused with the parallel and series stuff. Just find a good 12v. source and put the power wire to it and find a good clean ground on the chassis it doesn't matter where (well close to the device anyway) and hook the negative wire up.

DO NOT cut a wire hook the pos. side of the divice you are wanting to use up to it and then hook up the neg. side of the device to the other wire(where it was cut) this will not work for the device you are wanting to use and is series.
