getting new front brakes..

ok my front pads are starting to squeek... its not super bad, but they are making a squeek... can i just take the wheel off then put on a set of "high-performance" brake pads? or will i have to get the roters done at a shop?

have the rotors turned or at least have them deglazed.

TURNED??? what if i just put on a new pair of pads ... what wil happen?
