Can I add ABS to a 94 gxe???
He didn't ask about the logic of it, lordy, he asked what he'd have to do and how hard it was. It's people like you that keep these folks from expanding their minds
. So...
PARTS NEEDED:
ABS Brake Booster
ABS Brake Master Cylinder
ABS Front Drive Shafts
ABS Front Struts
ABS Rear Strut Housings
ABS Front Brake Calipers
ABS Front Wheel Sensors
ABS Rear Wheel Sensors
ABS Control Module (Computer)
ABS Relays (Various)
ABS Actuator Assembly
ABS Actuator Assembly Bracket and hardware
ABS Rear Proportioning Valve
ABS Brake Lines (Tubes) that you'll have to custom bend and route
Many feet of electrical wire -or- the complete body and engine wire harnesses from an ABS equipped car
Rear Disc brake conversion using ABS caliper adapter plate.
PROCEDURE:
Remove entire stock brake system excluding the front brake rotors and front brake hoses, but including entire rear brake system. As well as the rear portion of the emergency brake cables and the entire hydraulic system.
Install ABS front drive shafts
Install ABS front struts
Install ABS rear strut housing assemblies and perform rear disc brake conversion
Install front ABS wheel sensors
Install front ABS brake calipers
Install rear ABS wheel sensors
Install ABS actuator bracket and hardware
Install ABS actuator.
Custom bend, route, and install the six (6) or so ABS brake tubes that attach to the actuator, and route them to the hose connections at each individual brake caliper
Install ABS brake booster and master cylinder
Custom bend, route and install ABS brake tubes to master cylinder
Custom wire all electrical connections required between each individual ABS wheel sensors and the ABS control module, as well as the wiring between the ABS control module and the ABS actuator, unless you elect to swap the ABS body and engine wire harness assemblies into your car, which would require stripping the interior completely and re-wiring the entire car. Don't forget the relays and fuses required.
Install ABS proportioning valve.
Bleed the brake system
Work out any kinks or problems.

Well,.. if cool brakes are your dream, my brother put the aluminum, 4 piston 300Z brakes on his 240sx. I've heard that they'll fit the maxima too so long as your rims are big enough. I think he bought the front calipers and rotors for $200 and like another $150 for custom steel lines. They feel awesome! Fairly easy install too.....not to mention the looks. He painted them black with some ceramic paint and left the "Nissan" letters bare(aliminum, shiny).

Re: Re: Can I add ABS to a 94 gxe???
Your question gives an operational error. Here's a cut and paste:
"ERROR 604. Object 'GLE' not found in 3RDGENMAXIMA.MODELS"
I have rear disc brakes on my GXE. We used the struts and hubs, etc from an ABS-equipped 3rd Generation Maxima.

Now one would think thats a lot of ABS business during one year, lets get rich by selling equipment....
But No. Its the Siberian system: The whole nation is in this probuska -business. On this "safety" -issue Moskvitsh -56 owner goes to inspection. Yes, surely ABS is ok? Driver shows his probuska and all is well in the siberian taiga... inspection passes smoothly as cameloil in EU. Only one minor sad thing is that the poor Moskvitsh owner has one month salary less... And guess who again got this probuska -money?
lol? (btw. I love the way how RR saw through siberian taiga)

...what I dont like, is how the system oppresses its own via "ABS". Also terrifying is continuous putinTV newsmap where scandinavia and poland are already conquered INSIDE red death gulag empire. That remapping brainwash propaganda is shown to the ABS -people daily. To keep on .org guidelines: I see lots of russian maxima pages when I google. Are those maxima chat rings in Russia which sell parts or what are they like?
U live in Russia?
