Help!! My rear spoiler is coming off..
#1
My 92 SE rear stock spoiler is coming off on one side.. It looks like there is an adhesive that keeps it attached to the trunk lid. Anyone know what I can use to re-attach it? I don't want to take it into the shop and have them do it if I can do it myself.. Thanks.. Any help is appreciated.

the epoxy i used was so strong.. it made my last car [89 mx-6] last a whole summer before the tranny gave out ...i had epoxy on a crack on the radiator next to the cap...it held on strong i was suprized it lasted that long..so im positive it will hold a spoiler

i think its qualco....if you do get epoxy get the one made to hold metal....it should turn the color gray when mixed not clear ...it might also be called industrial strength. i got mine at National wholesale liquidators....im not sure if they have those stores across the country though..

The true fix
Now I know some wont agree, but the true fix is to replace. The OEM spoiler has a metal piece attach to it and attach to this metal piece are some sort of plugs that go thru holes in the trunk. Also, it has double sided tape along the outter part of the spoiler. Now since the double sided tape not a true weather resistant product, over time the metal bracket piece starts to rust, hence seperating from the trunk. Try this, open your trunk and tap the area where it's seperating and see if any rust pieces falls out. I just replaced my OEM spoiler with another OEM piece. Didn't really like all those aftermarket spoliers out there. When I installed my new spoiler I used a small bead of clear silicone along the mating surface to help seal it better. Good luck.
