powertone exhaust muffler

powertone exhaust muffler

has anyone used a powertone brand performance exhaust muffler. I want a low deep sound, not loud. Is this a good muffler

I saw one for sale on ebay for like $25 used...looked pretty mean! I dunno as far as sound but it looked like like would look good on the max!

If you can see through it, it's gonna be loud no matter what it looks like on the outside. If I were you I would be concerned more with how it is designed. Ask about the core, you don't want a louvered core but instead a perforated core. Louveres in the core of a muffler can block or misdirect the flow of your exhaust gasses. Perforated cores are straight through and while sometimes are not as "loud" as louvered, are a better performing muffler by far.
