Can anyone give me some specs on this engine. It is for a 1994 SEV6 nissan pickup truck. I may buy it. Is it still a SOHC or DOHC. I know there were some problems with the exhaust manifold studs on this year model. Does 1994 Maxima has the same engine. I compared it with mine but the intake is different, the location of the distributer cap is different also. Thanks in advance,

Yeah that should be the same engine that the 89-91 SE's have and the 89-94 GXE's have. The engine codes are the same. It must just have a different intake plenum. Probably like the older Z's. Same engine different intake.


92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.

The vg30e that was used in the Pathfinders/trucks is less powerful than our maximas. They are rated at like 151hp and 170ish torque BUT the torque is all right off the line where our maximas have to build up a little first. They pick ups were never fast but this truck should be decent. Well.....the new 210hp Frontier may be quick. In realitly its a little over 9 to 60. Nothing special....but it leaps off the line like a cat in heat

Thanks guys. I hope the lady take my offer. I own a Toyota V6 now. Had few problems. It had a major head gaskit recalls. I am about to sell it. Tomorrow a guy will buy it (hopefully). I am impressed with the performance of my Max and that was the only reason I am getting this pickup.
