springs and shocks

To preface this, I have used the search, and it wasn't very helpful. I am about to buy a suspension if it is in the right range, so how much can I expect to pay for a 2" lowering suspension? Are konis and eibachs the best or are tokicos and eibachs the best? Any help would be appreciated.

If your goin for performance, Suspention Techniques springs with Koni adjustables. If your going for looks Intrax with some Toks or something.... just my opinion...

the rear will not settle that much more than it is now...I've had Sprint/KYB combo for 7 months now and the rear barely changed from day one, but I still perfer the slammed front and moderatlely low rear than any other spring out there...which tend to sag in the rear or not be low enough to begin with!

thanks for tellin me that DA MAX...I'm startin to like tha slammed look with tha slightly raised back myself....i think i have to go back under the rear right and see what in the hell is knockin under there....i really don't feel like takin this ish apart again, but i might as well b4 i take the spring compressors back.

I got another question for people with tokicos....during the install, its said to add about 2 inches of oil into the srut housings for the rear cartridges...after completing the install and driving around for a bit, my left rear releases a weak burning oil smell...has anyone else experienced this!!

That should go away after you put a little mileage on em. After about 50 miles or so, check them for leaking. You should be okay, though. Sounds pretty normal to me, I've experienced the same thing with Tokicos...

Not likely, but even if you had it done instead of doing it yourself it is still a good idea to check them after 50 miles or so, kinda like you check the torque on your aftermarket rims after 25 miles... just a good idea to be on top of things when you install anything. Most of the time if your going to have a problem it will show signs within the first 100 miles of driving no matter what the mod or repair is. It never hurts to double check. Good luck, and post if you find your still having problems...
