is there anyway to clean out the catalytic conveter?

With a test pipe yes, but good luck finding a muffler shop to do it. (as it's illegal) Like I said, I could sell you one already gutted for probably less than the cost of a test pipe(if you can even get one)

If your car has a cat, chances are it's illegal to put a test pipe in due to emission reasons. At least w/ a gutted one, you will LOOK stock.

When emission time comes, you can use your ungutted one.

No, there is no way to clean it. Buy yourself a carsound cat from www.warpspeedperformance.com they are about $100, increase your horsepower, keep emisssions down, and are completely legal. Just remember to find the problem that caused the cat to go before you put a new one on.
