Retarded Brights

Retarded Brights
Has anyone ever noticed (At least on a '90 SE) when you flip on your brights, the low beams go off! If you hold the brights switch half-way back, you get both brights and low beams, but it's hard to drive like that =( I hate having to switch between my brights and low's whenever I reach the crest of a hill, so that I can see what's on the other side ![Frown](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I also wondered if maybe they WANTED it to be that way, but in almost every other car I ride in. When their brights come on, their near vision stays the same! It's Frustrating!
Just wondering if I'm crazy, or if anyone else has noticed this...

Re: Retarded Brights
Perhaps my lights are aimed too high, as the brights don't illuminate anything within 20-30 feet very well. Hopefully I'll be able to raise the $$$ for the BMW Conversion soon.
(Using the crappy Fred Meyer 'Cool Blue' brand probably doesn't help either, but hey... They were free.)
