okay, i've been searching for a while, and since my rims are discountinued, i can't find much info on them. even www.konigwheels.com doesn't help. i'm trying to find the offset of my 17x7" Konig Caffeines. can anyone help? thanks.

 

they probably came in many different offsets at the time but if yours fit properly then they are probably somewhere inbetween 35 and 40 mm.

 

Places like tirerack.com have measurements you can take to see what your offset is.

okay, what's the difference between back spacing and offset?

 

next time..
lay a flat bar on the edge of the rim (not tire). take a ruler and measure from the hub..(the part where the rim sits flush w/ the brake rotor)..to the bar. that's your offset.

 

Actually I think you have to measure from the inside lip of the rim, which is about where the bead rests, not the very edge of the wheel lip....

At least that's what I recall. I think that's right because a given rim may measure 9" across edge to edge, but really is only a 8" rim bead to bead.
