Good Maxima Reference?

Sorry if this has been posted before, anyime I searched for "manual" you can imagine what came up.

I am a new owner of a 5spd '92 SE and its my first car. Unfortunately, the previous owners are still searching for their manual and I don't know if I'll ever get it. In any case, I'm looking for a technical reference as well so I can get started on some DIY repairs.

What manuals do people use? Chilton? Haynes? Is one better than the other? Is there a way I can get a Nissan Factory manual?

Basically what do you all recommend.

Thanks so much.

better than ezra

search for factory service manual or FSM

they are great

I got mine from ebay for $40ish a while back

I think you can get them from dealers too, but you'll have to do some searching to find out more about that

good luck

Update

Feels funny updating my own thread but I found these online resources:

Chilton Online Manual
http://www.cybrrpartspro.com/chilton...oot/index.html
(Sounds interesting but I tried to load some diagrams to no avail)

RTFM But Which One?
http://www.btinternet.com/~d.brooks1/manuals.htm
(Good info)

A Comparison of Service Manuals for Late Model Nissan Maximas
http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/manualcompare.html
(warning: lots of popup ads)

Doesn't look like there are any 1992 Maxima Factory Service Manuals available on Ebay. Anyone know where I can get a FSM on CD? I assume that should be a lot cheaper. courtesyparts.com looked like they only had zx stuff.

Thanks

Looking

Check Ebay, any FSM from 1992-1994 will work. I have a 1994 FSM for my 92 max, and it is a great resource.
