LED Nozzle Installation..HELP
I'm in dire need of help, I'm kinda slow about cars, but i wanna do it my self ya know? i know it's not a hard mod or anything, but all my wires are loomed and i don't know what goes where. and i don't wanna spend 15 bux on a hayes or chilton's...yet. Sorry for beiung ignorant, but you gotta start somewhere.
I never thought i'd see people having problems installing something like this, with two simple wires.
You can't just put the power wire to the battery, if you do that you'll have them on all the time.
What you do is wire them to your headlight or your parking lights so they only come on when you turn those lights. Splice the wires..
thats all...
If you still can't figure it out..just leave it alone...

2. turn burner to hi.
3. add a small amount of salt and butter and bring to boil
4. when boiling, add contents of box, gently stir then remove from heat.
5. Cover for five minutes.
6. remove cover, fluff with fork, and serve.

Considers himself to be ignorant, buys LED nozzles instead of a chilton's manual for his car, and I'm wondering why he's getting upset on a simple question that he/she could have easily solved him/herself.....I suggest you take it to a performance shop and let a professional install em!!
LED nozzles? why, young maxima owner, why?? spend your hard earned green on a POP charger or new springs... please stay away from any lights that don't actually help you see better. i see this stuff on civics and accords in Green Bay, WI where the roads are only suitable for "the scene" for about a month if you catch a good summer, and it makes me laugh every time. last time i saw one of those accords with LED nozzles, i did a full burnout start from the light and still beat him. it's like a sign that says "i'm slow, come prey on me" then again, if you want to look like a christmas tree, your choice.

Ok as for the nozzle jut run one of the nozzle to each head light... for instance right nozzle to the right head or corner light and vice versa on the left.. its best if you put them on your parking(corner lights).. splicing is very easy just cut and attach... If you have your corners rewire you know how easy it is to splice. Just connect the positve wire to the positive wire on the corner light wire and the negative wire to the negative( or ground wire) of the corner light.. btw you dont have to but i suggest you disconnect the battery.just in case safe side. I have not installed nozzles before but this is what i would do. Becarefull that you dont get pulled over for blue or red nozzles as they are for fire and police officals..Here is a link to the corner rewire site of craig b, one of many maxima.org member who takes their time to teach and help everyone do simple and sometimes with worth mode.. Hope this helps.. Please feel free to e-mail. crazyizzy@yahoo.com
BTW guys.. Yes it is a simple question but we keep forgeting that we were once newbees, and some of us dont have or was burn with auto experience.
3rdGenMax_621- yes the name calling was uncalled for, but dont contribute even though you want to. people have been on this forum for a while you'll understand how it is once you get enough experience.. And btw you wont be the last person with a question not matter how easy it is. Enjoy your nozzle with caution...here is the website take a look click on how to's... thanks Craig B for the writeups and time
look at the wires to use and do the rewire mod while your at it click here...
go to a junkyard and get a set of nozzles with two holes in them for better 'performance'....and yeah i had red nozzles and i got pulled over..80$ fine and its a summons..not a pay by mail ticket. and crap..i went to a junkyard tho and got a set of old nozzles and a receipt for them so im gunna try to plead not guilty and pretend i was stupid

My question was to see if i could make them better. If I go to the junkyard I could be buying something that works worse than mine already.

Go to teh DOT web site, or the local DMV and pickup literature on it.
But only present it if it supports my claim

Then you can press charges against the cop!

use the proper equipment when working on your car. none of this "jerry rigged" bs connections. you probably want him to strip the wires and twist them together and wrap it w/ electrical tape..right? this leads to water getting on connection...higher resistance in the wiring..etc etc.
you wonder why so many people have electrical problems..it's all due to poor installations.

you DO NOT cut a wire if you intend to splice into it. you turned a decent connection into a horrible connection when you cut it.

) since I've got the LED nozzles, too. I kept hearing about how people were being pulled over for having them, so I asked her. She looked the statute up, as far as the state I'm in (ND), as well as the neighboring states (MN, WI, and SD).It's my understanding that there are only 1 or 2 Eastern states {don't ask me WHICH ones - what do I look like, F. Lee Bailey?
} that are really strict on aftermarket lighting on motor vehicles. And that's just MY $0.02 worth!
True the actual LEDs may be legal but there are other factors. If an accident was caused, the insurance company could say they where a distracting factor. And like it or not as much as I hate to say this i can promise you if I was driving 35 in a 25 and you where going the exact same speed in the next lane over (side by side) AND YOU HAD WASHER LEDs......who do you think a cop is going to pull over?
so it was similar way as i wrote it

seriously..do you know how to splice into a wire? i asked a reasonable questions with nothing as a response from you but a whine about me flaming you. you first told him to cut the wire..ok fair enough it was 3am and you were sleepy..so you said to splice the wire. fine...HOW do "you" splice a wire then? you never answered that. it's not a flame..if you speak like you know what you're doing then please enlighten us with your wealth of knowledge.
if you don't know how to splice a wire then say so..don't act like you know it all..because no one knows it all.
don't take it as a flame..don't feel that i'm picking on you...if you're around enough you're bound to have me bust on you.
The write up that i attempted to make was jsut and observation
