OK, i swear i've seen this max in someone's sig, and i'm sure it's not the one this guy is selling. the clear corners, the '97-'99 SE rims, the removed front emblem. you get the idea. i was going to email him, but i don't know for sure whose pics those are.

LOL!! those are craigs.. I'll email him now.

first he posts incorrect info about the car (i.e. passenger airbags), then he posts pics of one that's not his- with the wrong wheels even!

as I said on the other forum, that's Fraud against the buyer. the car he's selling is probably a POS beat up car (or he's just too damn lazy to get pics made), so he stole yours.

misrepresentation at its finest.

You damn right. That SOB is straight out talkin **** about the car. As Matt said, it is misrepresentation at its finest. Listent to the comments that fool said about the car:

On May-03-02 at 10:13:57 PDT, seller added the following information:

THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN IN THE DEW. THE CAR HAS ABSOLUTELY SHINY AND GLOSSY PAINT. THIS PICTURE DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On May-03-02 at 20:09:32 PDT, seller added the following information:

Revision

The car has a Bose Stereo System. The passenger side rear speaker doesnt work properly. So, I am offering the following speakers at a heavy discount - Infinity 693.3i cfp for $200. I bought them for $260+tax. That price is EXTRA. The speakers are NIB and they are awesome.

The car unfortunately doesnt have passenger side airbags. That was a cutting-pasting mistake on my part. I apologize for that.

On May-06-02 at 08:08:28 PDT, seller added the following information:
For those who are wondering, why the different rims?? Coz, the pictures are a little old and I have sold the rims. The car comes with the stock Nissan rims. Thank you

Who does he think he is fooling?

Craig, not trying to step on your toes here, but

I sent a message to the high bidder about the seller misrepresenting the car. I sent him links to your homepage as well as to this thread so that he/she can see for him/herself. I also sent a message to the seller, stating,

"I know that is not your car. It is owned by a guy from Atlanta, Georgia. The pics you used online are his, not yours. He is aware of this and we have advised him to contact EBAY. Not trying to cause you any problems, but you are trying to use pictures that aren't yours. It is misrepresentation."

That last part is a tribute to the ever so wise moderator, Matt B.

Anywa, like I said, not wanting to step on your toes, but some people out there are just crooked. Bastards.

I was just about to report the auction to ebay but then noticed it was ended early by the seller. I'm not gonna persue it anymore but you guys feel free to email the guy and give him hell

thanks everyone for keeping an eye out for me

Color and Rim change

Hopefully the buyer would see that his car turned from Gray to Black...and got better rims in the later pictures.

He didnt explain why the older pics have tinted windows, or cleared out signals, or lack of the nissan emblem on the grill.

update

the seller recently contacted me via email

"Craig, I unknowingly used your Maxima's pictures for an eBay listing. The pictures were supplied to me by a friend for whom I was selling the car. When somebody pointed out that the pictures were from a Maxima in Atlanta, I immediately retracted the auction.

Again, I am apologetic about the incident.

Sincerely
AC"

I told him that's cool and as long as he doesn't pull some crap like that again, I'd just let it go

so you guys can stop emailing him now

and tilt - my car does have tinted windows actually, it's hard to tell because it's not really dark but you can tell in some pics more than others depending on where the light is coming from
thanks

He sent me an e-mail as well about the comments I made. He said,
"I am running the auction for a friend. I have also come to find this out but
have no way of retracting the pictures. THese were the pictures he gave me.
I will also contact eBay and see what I can do about it.

Thanks"

I as well told him it was nothing personal. Just watching out for the fellas.

Re: Re: update

Craig,

If i were you i wouldn't have said anything. I would have bidded and won the auction and then let him know who you are. It costs alot of money to lists cars on e-bay these days, so thats a good way to make someone pay.
