I have the Levoc cf shifter, and for the most part... its very simple. there are two screws infront of the shifter on the shifter. Unscrew those. then pull up on the shifter and cut the overdrive button wires. then... dependent on what new shifter you got, I am assuming Levoc, you will need cut the plastic post to size by putting the new shifter on and finding out where it needs to be in order for the top button to work and then mark off the plastic post. slip the new shifters overdrive wiring through the plastic post and then, at this point, solder if you can, or at least try to find a way to connect the new shifters overdrive wiring to the original wiring. now that you have done that, put the plastic post over the wiring and then fit the new shifter over the post as is described in the instructions. There are two screw points in the front of the Levoc, and you will most likely be ablt to us only one, but if this is tight, it's fine. just don't let it get lose.

Okay... this is all assuming that you have taken off the shifter housing that surrounds the shifter in stock form. like where it says PRND12... and all that... and when connecting the new overdrive button... test the actual button before you actually put it all together... you will want to make sure that your overdrive light goes off and on like normal.

there, that is how I did it.

well, you can put either of those on, but they dont have an OD switch on them. you can wire it up so that OD is always on, or you can mount a switch somewhere else. i suggest either buying the levoc, razo makes 2 models that are auto and have OD and stillen has one made by levoc for the 300z that would probably work. or just get the aniversary max shift **** for the auto. thats real nice.
