Max Tires

Max Tires

My back tire needs replaceing...it was my uncles car before it was mine and he changed the tires before I got them...BUT..the tires on the back are P195 and the ones on the front are P205...can I still put a P205 on the back and what is the P205-P195 on the Tire mean?...Thanks for the help

width

the 195 is narrower than the 205, usually a few different widths fit on a given set of rims

To put it in "Max-Speak":

P 195/75/15

P = Passenger tire
195 = width of the contact patch/tread (measured in millimeters, I believe)
75 = Aspect ratio. Meaning, the height of the tire from the contact patch/tread to the point where the rim meets the sidewall.
15 = Diameter of the tire itself.

i have 225/60/15 on mine.....they fit fine, no rubbing. 290's will fit with no problem, especially if on the back

WTF drags radials...LOL yeah i have got a flat a few months ago and got a cheap used tire b/c i had no money for a good one , but i wanted a set anyways.. but they didnt have 205 so they gave me 195..lol so i have thre 205 and 195 yes i know stupid of me to drive with uneven tires... welli was wondering check my sig/.. if 210-215 65 15 will ride ok on the stock rims?

Well, I got 215/65/15's on stock rims (at least until I can find decently priced 17s - check MY sig), and I've got no problems. I don't think you will either. Good luck.
