synthetic oil.... (lol did search) *the "look mom no oil" has nothing to do with this LOL*
Q-ok im gonig to change the oil in my car this weekend.. i have been useing castrol syntc/blend.. im thinking of switching to full synthetic oils.. can i just empty then old oil out and fill up with full synthetic oil?

As for how long they last, it depends on the quality of the oil.
usually, on the back of the container it will say the recommended
schedule.
Amsoil is like once a year or 30,000 miles +

Amsoil I got from ebay - 12 qts for like $78. good deal.
you can find it from an amsoil dealer in your area.

First off - You can get it from me!!! At significant savings vs retail!!!
2nd - going from blend to full synthetic, you are probably OK, just be sure to completely drain the old oil. An engine flush is not a bad idea, and is cheap and easy to do (cleans out the old stuff)
3rd - Amsoil has 3 options - 7500/6month drain interval, and two 1 year drain intervals, one 25K miles, the other 35K miles. With these two, you'll need to use GOOD filters and change it AT LEAST every 6 months, 12,500 miles (+ top off the oil). The first time using, you should do so more often and have an oil analysis done. Each car is different, and you'd want to be sure yours can handle those extended drains...
