My Max

Hi, i own a 90 GXE Max, 86,000 miles, not bad looking.. subs, and 15 chrome wheels, im just starting to get irritated with the side panels, they are starting to fade and turn yellowish.. seems like on all older maxs, and the front and rear bumbers are also looking faded.. i was wondering how much would it cost to either repaint them or would it just be better to repaint the whole car.. i just dont know, other than that the car is great, only prob is those damn squeaky brakes! arg.. but some advice would be nice, i live in lancaster CA, if anyone knows a place it would be apreciated, thanks

Re: My Max

you can get yourself a heat gun and take those "panels" right off...it'll even look good without them on, but if you want to get them painted it shouldn't cost much either.

hmmmm....well the front and rear bumpers are a little more involved than the side panels. removing them is rather easy if you have basic hand tools(I just changed my old front one a few months ago). anyways new front and rear bumper covers will run about ~$150(front is $60 rear is $90). getting them painted will vary but I's say $200+/- to have both painted. not too much and there of plenty of Cali guys who I'm sure would help you out if the bumper removal job is too hard for 'ya!

and why sell it now?? man you're car has a long way to go, 86k is baby miles on these Maxs!
