Quick Question

Hey Im going to the track again soon to see if I can imporve my times and I was wondering about tire pressure. I have heard that lowering tire pressure can lead to a better time. Is this true? what is the ideal tire pressure for racing at the track? My car's tires are normally at 35 to 40 lbs of pressure.

when i used my stock tires rims

My psi was at 30 for stock driving.. now at the track i lowered it to 25 which really gets the tires to grip more.. So imho i think take off 5psi see how you run, then take another 5 for a total of 10 psi.. that would be like 25-30 psi for you

LOW psi in the front

Make sure you only lower the psi in the front since its a FWD. No need to lower the pressure in the rear tires. keep in around 35. I would drop your fronts to about 25-30 since they're a little more shallow than stock.

agree

That is right
keep your rear the same psi.. but the front should be lowered... after you finsihed racing make sure that you fill the front back up .. lol or you'll get bad gas mileage
