Is my Max dead?!?!?

Ok, it started when my radio wouldn't turn on while my doors were open. Now when I start it, it makes this quick t,t,t,t,ick, and won't start. WHen It's idling there's this lil buzzz from under the hood. Help would be appreciated.

How is it that you're driving it?? Aren't you 13 or something? Sounds like your battery went dead from sitting in the driveway and playing the radio too much. Try jumping it...

Well, I've modded it to the best of my wallet's ability and am gonna drive it. But for the meantime, When I have a few friends over and we're too lazy to sit on the stoop, we sit in the Max and I do my modding while I listen.

This is my analysis of my stereo problem.

When the front doors were opened, that's when it would die. So I put it together and came up w/ a theory that the stereo had little to no power to it and that when we opened the door, the power seatbelts would "steal" the power from the stereo and transfer it to the seatbelts. Is this reasonable?

wait, are you leaving it in on mode while you listen to the radio?! where all the lights are on on the dash? If you do that you will kill the battery within probably 15 minutes of leaving the car like that. if you want to listen to the radio leave it in acc, the first notch of turning the key.. LOL

13 year olds these days..

The battery won't die when the car is running!

For a thirteen year old, I am impressed. I'm sure not many were this close to getting a car, let alone cared enough to start modding one at 13.

Better you learn now than to be at a drive-in with a girl for 2 hours with the music on without the car running...

"what! you didn't put gas in this raggedy fothermucker?!?!"

You can kill a battery just by leaving the doors open too long. It happened to me once doing a stereo install. Good thing it was my ex-girlfriend's car.

not to be an *** but

driving stick isnt that hard, as long as you have brains most people can pick it up in a few minutes if they just try it./
I drove my max up and down the drive way when I got it though

yea i dont know many 13 year olds with a car im 15 and have done a fair amount of mods to my car and i cant stand not being able to drive it whenevewr i want (3 months till i can, 3 months till the completion of my project) and i usually just sit in it and listen to my stereo. But you have 3 years youre going to get tired of your max after 3 yeras and by them it will be to old. But its something to keep you busy i guess.

I learned how to drive a stick when I was 10...We had a rail buggy and since I live in the country my dad would take me out and let me drive it...man did I have some fun in that thing. We still have it but the motor is shot.

I was driving all over the place when I was 13...just around the neighborhood and to the store and stuff, but not too far from home.

Also when I was 15 I was allowed to get my license I think MS has changed it to 16 now though.

wow I have had a license for 15 years now...man that makes me feel old.
