Timing Belt

I was wondering when I should change my timing belt. It was changed once when it has about 60k on it, and now its nearing 120k. Should I get it done asap or am I able to wait for a while?

Thanks,
Nate

do it...

You never know how or when its gonna pop.. BTW are you the original owner? If not i would still get this done. I asked b/c if you were the original owner you would be able to tell how hard you drive the max..but if you just got the max you really have no idea the curent state on the maxima.. Just do it and get the piece of mind... Change everything.. Driving belts plugs rotors distributer cam seals water pump fuel filter and air filter gaskets.. Clean your throttle body maybe increase your timimg to like 19-20 degrees..? hey all this will increase power and life of the max.. If you havent get the transmission flushed and you engine flushed.. Man your max will be in great condition for the next 60K

Yes, definitely get it changed. The recommended interval is 60,000 miles and since you're nearing it I would get it done. Have a full tune up done, the cam and crank seals, tensioner, water pump, belts, spark plugs, spark pluge wires, rotor, cap, all that good stuff. It will definitely make your max run smoother, and you won't have to worry about the belt breaking since it costs you your engine.

air filter= filters out particals in the air before it goes into the intake and does some serious damage to the engine, as time goes by the flow on the air filter hampers performance

gaskets are seals that are on the tranny or engine or anywhere that it needs a tight seal
