Tranmission bad?
Tranmission bad?
I have a 1990 SE. Had it for about a year now. Thanks to this forum I've been able to fix a shaky engine. (PCV did the trick). I've been having this strange shaking when I'm accelerating on an incline at about 45mph. I've also noticed the tach is around 2000RPM. The car shakes like i'm riding on a groved rode, like the horizontal groves before a toll booth. It's strange, but I thinks it's the tranny because when I take it out of overdrive it's fine. Also noticed when the shaking happens I mash down on the gas pedal and it seems to help get the car out of this shaking. What gives? Any help and experiences will be helpful. Is it an expensive repair or a simple repair I can do myself?

Looks like I needed some tranny juice. Checked level and couldn't get any indication of fluids in tranny. Added a whole bottle slowly and got a reading right below the cold marker with a warm engine. I'll add some more and check for problem. So far problem has been reduced to an occasional shutter. Thanks
