Koni Struts

Does anyone have the Koni Struts if so can you please help? I know the front stock struts have to be cut to insert the new one but how do you do the rear? It also seems like a cartridge. Please Help!

The oem rears are like the fronts in that they have parts and oil in the housing. The favorable difference is that the rear screws open, the parts fall out and the Koni strut is a cartridge that fits into the housing without further modification. A Tokico is a cartridge too. Some recommend you drop in some of the old oil so it fills any voids between the Koni and the housing and thus facilitates heat transfer.

I have done my Konis / Eibachs in my fronts and have planned to do my rears tomorrow.

Good luck,
John

the rears are just like using Tokicos. The only trick is dealing with the packing nut.

The fronts weren't that hard, the biggest trick is cutting the old struts housing straight and getting the bottom hole centered.
