Anybody ever think to chop the susp tech springs?

Anybody ever think to chop the susp tech springs?
Since the front sits higher than the rears
and they're linear springs, has anybody tried
to chop a coil off?
I could understand not chopping progressives
but ya think chopping linears would screw
anything up?
