Well, Brandon... We'll be sure to send no less than 10 newbies/week your way! Field all the questions, and filter all garbage to Matt. I'm sure HE will appreciate your efforts.

why not? If you let up on the gas (tap the brake if you need to) and turn, then get back on the gas, you oversteer and can drift. The idea is the same as rwd: you break the rear loose. This is done by transfering weight forward, turning the wheel a lil so the front bites but the rear doesn't, then get back on the gas to even the weight out and prevent further oversteer (of course, you countersteer like rwd).
I've done this before in my Altima several times when autox'ing and I was told you can do it at ButtonWillow/WillowSprings/Streets, which's high speed tracks. I personally don't believe it's the quickest way around corners. I don't like the idea of losing traction, but it's fun and scary.

Ah..The memories..Reminds me of my first drive in my Max; before I knew what a beast it was...My dad brought it to me at work so I could drive it home. It was rainy. I took the long way home through the country. Hit the pedal as I left town, took a slick corner at about 35 and power slid like a rally car. Of course, being a relatively new driver, I tried to correct it and just about ditched the car. But still, it was a wonderful experience.

don't worry.. I get enough crap questions as it is just because I'm a moderator (and post *****).. then when I say things about my turbo or NAWS setup or RWD conversion, the newbies just go crazy and never stop emailing me..
grrrr

btw... I was the FIRST one to post that in my sig pic.. all the rest are imitators.
(Actually PIONEER was, but he just locked all 4 corners and cut the wheel on gravel, and it was a 5th gen)..

but you get the point.. anyone else is just an imitator.

Also.. photo credits go to Justin McBee. he's the one I was trying to run over.

just move on man. it's a pointless arguement and you're going to turn this thread into a flame war.. then I'll have to lock/delete it and beat you down.

hehe true... true.. he did almost run me over.. that's when I decided any other drift shots I'd start doing with a llooonnnggg lense from a distance rather than hanging off the bumper

btw.. I have ton's more.. we spent about 1/2 an hour getting matt to pitch it this way and that... and guess what.. I've drifted my max too!! jeez.. imagine you can slide the *** on a FWD car... granted you can't power through it and make the really cool exit you can with a RWD car but its kinda neat effect... hehe
