I think I have a fuel problem ... please help-->
When I crank up my car when it's cold, it cranks right up and then idles fine. Then, I pull out of the drive way and get on the road. I start to, very easily, apply the throttle. Before the revs get a chance to get up to 2500-3000 to shift into 2nd, the cars just quits for about 1 second... and then it goes again.
So, in other words, it's like me taking my foot completely off the gas for a half second and then applying it again. But, I have my foot on the gas the entire time.
One of my friends (studying mechanic), says that it could be the fuel filter. Last time I replaced my fuel filter was about 16K miles ago. But, for the first 5 months after I put in that new fuel filter, I was driving it in Vegas. And Vegas has VERY dusty conditions.
Could this be my problem? Thanks.

Yeah, that's what I was going to do first. Do you think it could be many things in the fuel system? Injectors? etc? Do you even think it's fuel related?

i'm assuming u mean that vapor line.
it can be many things..but best bet is to start off w/ the filter. if it's been a while for a tune up...good idea to do that too.

well when your car uses gas from the gas tank air needs to go into it.
