Phew!!!!!

Ok people. Until this afternoon, I had been one of the stupidest AND luckiest people around. I got my Max about a year and seven days ago and had never changed the timing belt, nor had the previous owner. Yup. Well after reading Craig Brace's page two nights ago, I refused to touch my car until I had scheduled to get it done. I knew how important it was but being a lowly student paying international rate school fees (i'm an international stdent) or a job, I was more or less real broke most of the time. When I got money, yeah. My max got most of it. I'll finally be leaving for houston in 2-3days and I dont think I can risk driving the car that distance again without the timing belt. I did it once coming to kansas. never again.
I also lost a court case today concerning doing a 60 in a 45. sucks a$$. Lessons to be learned. Change yur timing belt ontime people and dont be like me (like anyone's that daft!) Not worth the risk.

holla

timing belt? or timing chain?
well, at any case, i'm a student too and I don't have much $ left over for modding...right now it seems like i'm always fixing lil things in the max. I'll be happy when I get my own that's a lil newer.
Hope your future's bright!

timing belt....91 se. just got a call from the service man and it's all finished...took him 4 hrs to replace it, checked my waterpump and all the rest of the stuff, new plug cables, battery cables, oilchange for $380. Tell me that wasn't a good deal! I love my repair man!!!!!
