Anyway, a stock 4-gen has 190hp/205ftlbs stock and a stock 3-gen VG has 160hp/185 ftlbs stock.

Yes know your place, vg is 2-3 car lenghts slower, i raced mzmtg at the track all the time in his 95, 16.4 to a 15.2

 

maybe (if the 98 was a 5spd) the 98 had a bad driver and was stock...cuz i know cheezer's modded a little

Regarding the mods to your car. I may not agree on the.....ummmmm........ tastefullness of your mods but i think its good to have people express themselves through their cars. To heck with what anyone else thinks and (unless they paid for your "mods") their opinion means squat. Settle down people. He's not bull****ting cus I was the dude he raced.

I would not call it 3 car lengths though 1.5-2.0 cars at most. We got up to around 100 or so, maybe more, i am not sure.. didn't look. I have a 98 GXE auto, bone stock.. the key here was that I SLEPT on the launch.. we lined up and raced from a spot.. I had a 280 lb passanger in the car. Chris jumped out in front of me by 2 cars my gas pedal was at the floor the whole way and we stayed even, i may have reeled him in if we went a little higher but at the speed we got up to, he was ahead then he flashed the hazards, there were lights flashing somewhere in the distance and we thought it was police so we started backing up slowly, turned out to be trucks lol. You can save the "you can't drive" or "there is something wrong with your car" thing. I did start very late and that probably made the difference. My car is running fine too, I just put in new NGKs, air and fuel filter recently, everything is working well, no problems. I also raced a 99 SE auto with a CAI and maybe something else on the way there, lost by a a car length or two.

I drive an auto and he has advanced timing + a CAI as far as I know.. But it must have been the DTM muffler...

oh and...dude about a blue maxima 5 spd...

i saw one out side my work...it is alwyas parked in the handicap zone (i think the driver is handicap by the blue sign he hangs on the mirror)...i think its a 92-94 ...i am sure its an se and 5 spd...

some person parks there...since my car is waiting for its ACT street....this baby is as close as it gets to seeing another SE every day... ...sigh.

it is clean...whoever drives it babies it...as well it only has like 83000 miles on it...SO NICE!

won't be so nice when i get my se back though...hehe.

heheh, yeah.. I'm not the "race" type. I rarely do it, never been to the track.. I drive spirited on occasions but usually there is too much traffic in NYC to even get up to normal speed lol. This was at a very deserted location, wouldn't call it a city street. Cars hardly ever pass by there and there aren't any pedestrians. I won't make any excuses to why I lost or why I didn't catch up. It doesn't take a genius to drive an automatic. I just launched horribly late... but I don't race and hardly have any interest in it so I wouldn't know much about how to launch the car to get the jump out of it or anything of that sort. Bottom line is I lost, when i rolled up i was like "i'm about to smoke this fool" knowing how auto VGs are mid to high 16 second cars but my lack of experience got me and Chris took me.. or maybe there really is something with my car.. who knows. We'll do it another time though, it's all for fun anyways, i couldn't care less if i lost.

KuanSpeed, yea, they are rare. Just the color itself is rare, let alone it being paired with a 5 speed. There is like 1 person on the org with that combo and that is "jacob".. I had a blue 93 SE auto before, i loved everything about it but it was in poor shape judging from the never ending repairs and premature failures of all sorts of things starting with the transmission. I don't even drive hard, i do the maintenance and everything i can, but things kept breaking so I just got tired of it. If I could find the same car, only with a 5 speed, I'd buy it. Call me picky, but yes, the color is important lol. Leave that guy near your job a note on the windshield, that you're willing to pay good $ for his car i'll fly across the country to get one in good shape and low miles.
