great satisfaction

I just finished cleaning my throttle body and boy what a great difference. She now accelerates very very smoothly. Its great. It took me about 45 minutes of cleaning. For a car with 120k miles it feels like new. Thanks for all the help everyone.

cleaning throttle body

cleaned out my throttle body yesterday. took about 3 hours for it to start, but i spose that it had something to do with having 195k miles of carbon in my throttle body too i agree, the acceleration is much smoother, and i might be squeezin a couple extra mpg outta the 90gxe with all of the crap that came out. i used the entire can of "Throttle Body & Air Intake Cleaner" by STP, and it worked fine. just so this post isn't a complete waste of bandwidth, i'll add a couple of links that might come in handy for someone pursuing cleaning their throttle body...

or try search w/ Throttle Body Cleaning

this is one of the easiest things to do to your max, and you save about $75 from doing it yourself. if you've got over 100k on your max, and it's never been cleaned, i'd highly suggest doing this before or in addition to your intake and exhaust if you want the best gains from those mods.

cheers
