wheel width

i've got 17x8 rota stage 5's with 245/45/17 michelin pilot mxx3. they work pretty good (considering they were used and free) but you have to heat them up first. on cold mornings in CT they dont provide much grip. in spring i'm probably gonna get some yokohama A520 or maybe some bridgestone RE730. (unless i come across some more freebies)

hey jeff & mr rose how have your top speed/rpm@top speed been effected since you put on your 17's??

proof for 17x9

i dont want you to call me a liar either but as of right now you will just have to take my word for it.because i dont have anyway of taking pics.
perhaps after x-mas.believe me as soon as i get a camera i will put up the pics for the wheels, and big brake upgrade.

besides im not the type of person who lies about anything ive done to my car.because i read other post and if i go to try a mod or something that someone else has tried i hope that it is true and not a lie.
if you need to lie about your car performance etc just to make other people think that your car is better than everyone elses then why even post anything at all.

just wanted to get that out

my tires

Actually I'm not sure of the exact specs on my tires but I do know they are "H" rated Yokohama S306's. I got them at Discount Tire with the replacement warranty and lifetime balance/rotation. They work great for me. They have a smooth ride, they feel corners well, they grip the pavement well even in rain, and they last a long time.

Re: wheel width

Well low end acceleration was affected of course. But top speed and rpm are not affect much becuase the overall outside diameters are very close to the 205-65-15 oem size. 235-45-17 is ever so slightly smaller and 245-45-17 is ever so slightly bigger. On the other hand, one maker's 235-45 might have a slightly different outside diameter than another maker's 235-45.
