custom exaust

custom exaust

how difficult or expensive would it be for a garage to make my exaust go staright back for the cat and have my muffler mounted in the center of my car like a porshe boxer

it wouldnt be able to go straight back without the muffler hanging below the bumper a little due to the fuel tank... but if you want it to be perfectly straight back you could just buy the piping from summit for $11 for 4 feet of 2.5 inch piping and just have it welded...

a muffler shop might be able to make if go back from the center but it wouldnt be perfectly straight and would be molded with the way the undercarage of our car flows for probablu $150 or so.

dont' even think about it. not possible without ruining ground clearance or modifying your gas tank and spare tire well.

no 1. that will make your car rice
no 2. you will need to replace your exhaust system daily

run it into yoour trunk through spare tire compartment,
be sure to weld the pipe to your tank

you could just buy a normal b pipe, and purchase a 90 degree bend from www.jcwhitney.com and use a boxter s muffler to get the tip to exit in the center of the rear... im not sure on clearance though.

seriously why would anyone do that. It's just ugly and not meant for a maxima but I am curious of what it looks like so if you do it post pics.
