how's the trany doing anyway?

BTW, Jason Rose was asking about suspension bushings.. what's happening with the ES bushings? I told him you were working on control arm bushings with ES...

yup, me likes!!

they ride MUCH better than the Konigs.. it's weird, same tires, same pressures, but there's much less road noise and the ride is much smoother.
on the Konigs, every little rock could be felt in the road- felt like I was driving an indy car sometimes.
with these, I sitll hear it when I run over small rocks and stuff, but it's not noticeable in the feel.

the konigs used to "ring" almost like a basketball would- you could hear the air in it kinda... these rims don't do that at all.

brake dust doesn't even stick to the chrome part hardly.. my others would be black after 200 miles, even though I waxed them very often.. these, the stuff doesn't even stick to. I haven't washed the car since Maxus, and I'm jsut now beginning to see brake dust accumulate on the rim.. the grey center part has shown dust fora while, but it's not that bad since there's not much metal there...

the fun part if trying to find center caps for them! Butler Tire said they had to sell 3 of the 4 just before MAxus.. they took my address and said they'd mail them to me on Monday.. I have yet to see them come.
I started going by Enkei dealers here in town on Saturday, and all of them freaked when I said they were the 3 piece RS-evolutions, NOT the 1 piece RS-Es they have in the shop.. hehehe

Supposedly....

They were supposed to give away a set of the RS-E's, but something was wrong with them, so they donated the RS-evolution's instead. Matt sure is one lucky bastard! Oh well, after all the crap he went through with those used Konigs, he *almost* deserves them!
