I have read everyone's comments on spark plugs. NGK are the way to go.

However, what do you guys prefer on the Wire Sets?

I am deciding between the NGK NX91 and the OEM Yazaki for an upcoming tune-up. Both are relatively priced equally.

Also, regarding the prices on "courtesyparts.com", do those prices include the 25% discount available to Maxima.ORG members?

well..

The NGK blue wire sets are about the same as a stock set, except of course they are blue. If a performance gain is in your interest, then BERU, JACOBS, and there is another company out there. You'll have to ask Bret89SER about what he has. They are very nice. Agian, stock is good, and NGk is good, but there are better brands.

I have the Bosch set and they have been just fine for the last 25K miles. I covet the Magnecor wires.

There's also some useful technical information at their site.

It's a maintenance issue really. Coming from an electrician point of view. Larger Wires cary less OHM resistance depending on the amount of strand per Guage size.
Ex: a 8mm wire with a 30 strand carries more resistance that an 8.5 with 50 strand per guage. Less resistance equlas better spark, faster throttle response. Longer life on plugs. Lots of benifits for upgrading wires.

Nology makes a set of wires for the max too. They are probably the best. The last time I priced them they were like $350. That was way to much money for a set of wires for me. If someone can find them cheaper than let me know.
