ramfx filter instead of k&n

What do you guys think about these filters selling on ebay. Claims to increase air flow because of the design

if you want performance get a cone filter rather than a replacement panel filter...

Looks like foam to me. K&N has admitted that a brand new faper filter will flow as much as there stock replacements. of course the paper gets clogged quicker and must be replaced

You get what you pay for and K&N makes thr best air filter. The foam does allow more airflow but may let small particles of dust in. Like everyone else said, get a cone for performance.

i wouldnt mess with no name brands. K&N knows there stuff and is definite performance. if thats not of any importance then just get a FRAM, i wouldnt take the chance with stuff that can kill your engine, ive seen the cheap ones rott away and just fly into the engine, do you really want that? besides, the K&N will last forever.

you guys are right, I also heard those no name brand filters do fall apart and can clogg your intake. I have a cone filter and adapter already but I did not see that much of a difference. The sound is good though. What is the best cone filter I should get. Is it better to get the filter longer in length or a big wide cone 3" filter.

If you have already ruled out a CAI, then just buy a JWT intake...
