I assume you were belted in. Good for you. There is a higher power that influences all events in our lives. I have been invloved in one serious accident..my 84 Ranger looked alot like your Max..rolled it twice..I walked away with only a scratch. Enlightening experience isn't it? Puts life in perspective. Good luck with everything.

The CAI is okay. Has some scratches, but no bends or dents. The filter and the MAF sensor were smashed though.

glad you're okay. It's just a car also which is not more important than life. The car looked good but maybe you'll find something better in the future.

If you walked away from that bad of an accident, our cars are very safe. I can't believe you didn't break anything, the car is just a mangled mess. It's kind of scary that both you and DaBox had 2001 Wheels. Glad your O.K., and hope you can find another nice max.

kinda strange, ya'll had basically the same cars with basically the same mods give or take a few. And then both of you go off and get VE five speeds for low low prices. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Man I am glad your ok. I feel better knowing my wife and child are in a Maxima.

I know how scarry it is after an accident like that. I fliped a 69 Chevelle end over end...and it landed on the roof (stupid 15 year old kid with a 300hp motor and a sharp curve) My roof on the drivers side was completely crushed(flat with the hood) but I came out without a scratch because I didnt (thats right didnt) have my seat belt on. I think that is the only time a seat belt would have killed me because I was thrown to the passenger side and wasnt at the part of the car that was crushed.

It will really wake you up.

btw everyone I am not saying dont use a seatbelt because I always do now but back then I didnt. You SHOULD ALWAYS wear your seat belt.

good luck with the VE.

What a customization job you did there!

That car is truely original now! My old max stood up to a semi when it died and I was perfectly alright. ~Is your FSTB for sale?

Care to tell how it happened?
From reading it sounds like you werent at fault.
so did you have the 93' max before the accident, i think you did but still? (is it possiable to get those wheels?)
anyway, good luck with any problems/annoyances that may arise (insurance...)

MrGone

Btw. awsm66, another reason that you survived in that car with out a seatbelt is because back then they didnt have the technology or knowledge about crashes that we do today, As in crush zones and stuff, where they design the cars to withstand different types of blows better, im sure you know all about this, just another point (even though cars back then had alot more metal on them). just one thing though, there isnt much anyone can do after a certian point, cars do have theyre limits.

That knuckle broke while I was going on a downhill curve to the left, and then the car flipped over.

BTW: Im still looking for a right side clear corner and Im wondering if u can sell me urs?? Cuz I really need one. Only my left one survived my accident as for my right one it didn't and i bought these suckers 1 week before my accident.

First, I want to say is Dayum Jayson! I remember when you posted about the accident but I didnt expect it to be THAT bad! I am really glad that you are okay. You and I have a lot in common...we both had 91 SE 5spds, with abs, and 5th gen rims. We get into accidents in the same week(yours was first tho), then we both find 93 VE 5spds! Whats the deal? Good luck with everything man. I had my shoulder belt on through my crash...thank god for 3rd gen automatic seatbelts!

I honestly dont remember. Sometimes I have it on and sometimes I dont think about it. I dont remember any pressure from my waist each time I hit the wall, but then again after the third time I hit the wall I was so dizzy all I could think about was trying to figure out what direction I was facing.
