my car goes put putt putt

my car goes put putt putt after it warms up. this just started yesterday for the first time. when i hit the gas teh car is real choppy and shakey. its like putt putt putt until i turn it off and let it chill for a while. the problem comes back after about a couple miles.

i do recall racing someone before the problem came, could that have anything to do with it? it was the first time i actually raced this car.

I had that problem right before my #5 injector died! but hopefully for you it might just be the harness like Chris is saying!

when my battery was low my car putt-putted. i remember sitting there in the driver seat one day..i almost cried and said "oh no, my car is putt putting" to my friend. so after a couple months and a few jump starts i replaced the alternator...purrs fine now. i dono if it's the same putt putt, but good luck.

try cleaning the connectors. Pinch down the female side so that they grab the tabs better. This is probably an oxidation problem. When I pulled my injectors and installed new seals, that was one thing I did along with the job.

well it turns out that injector #3 is bad. so nissan is going to replace that. how much should that cost? we'll see how the car feels when it comes back.

haven't priced them out yet. I remember PoLo replaced his awhile back. I think the rears need to be spliced in but I think overall it's a simple wiring job.
