Should I re paint my car?

There are little pen dot sized rust spots on my hood and hood tips..i was wondering if I should get it painted? Will the paint bubble up if the car gets a new paint job? and how much does one usually run for?

You don't need a whole paint job, you can just paint your hood. Chances are your paint had faded from the original color so you would have to take it to somewhere that can match the current color very well. The hood would have to be sanded very well to get rid of all the rust and just painted. If the rest of the car is fine just leave it alone man, paint jobs are damn expensive. If you wanted to paint the whole car you're looking at $1000 and up.

this would be a good time to see if you can get in on that CF hood deal, or wait till they finish and start selling them (how's that going anyway, i don't think i've heard of it recently) and like he said, you could just get the hood done, but it might be a good idea to do the whole car if there are other problems too (it is about 10 years old or whatever) but you don't need to do the car just for the hood.
i did get my car painted (from red to black) last november. it was only $600, including the color change (more for the door jams) i'll admit, you get what you pay for...but it is a very good job and definately looks a lot better than it did. afterwards people told me it looked new, and about a month ago someone said did you just get your car painted? cause he knew it was 10 years old but the paint looked brand new. anyway...yeah...
