its not like you're taking the cF hood and just laying it on the
engine bay... that's what the hood latch is for

hoodpins are only for an extra step of security or for show
realistically, if you have a well made hood,
shouldn't need hoodpins

 

I dont know much about CF but it is stronger than fiberglass correct? I have had 2 fiberglass bolt on hoods on very fast cars and I didnt need hood pins. Now the hoods I had were as I said bolt on hoods and not pin on race hoods which means they were made for using the stock latch but if they can make fiberglass hoods that dont need hood pins why cant they make cf that dont need them?
