yo. I'm getting a new mod, and I have to decide between an APEXi muffler (my old muffler is dead, and I want to get something nicer), or new 6x9s plus a component set.

wha do you all think? I only have enough money for one mod ;p

just kidding. actually, i thought you already had a kick butt sound system. from what i know (little) i would go with sound mods. save your $$ for exaust mods for a cat back or ypipe.

i have a decent subwoofer setu p, but i am running off stock speakers (BOSE). as for the catback/ypipe, my dad won't allow it however, I have a y-pipe that I am getting and will be selling. so, my only option for exhaust is the muffler.

i want my car to look good, since my speakers work for now, i kinda want the muffler, but it's hard to decide.

 

Why wont your dad let you have a cat-back exhaust. What y-pipe did you order because I might be interested.

 

because he said it has something to do with, insurnce may not insurce a modded car, and all that exhaust stuff only gives me performance to go faster, which he doesn't like the idea of ;p

i'm interested in the cattman. let me know a price, shipping. too bad your dad says no.. i doubt the insurance co. would know ... just dont expect them to pay for it if you total the car.

 

yeah so am I, but that's also the issue. Insurance isn't something you need until shi*t happens and if it happens, that y-pipe wil lnot help my case.

 

Go with the speakers. I personaly like Bostons, MB Quarz or Nakamichi. The apexi sounds sh*ty and has no performance benfits. Plus the Nakamichi speakers sound great with the 45z
