Going Back to the Track
Well, I'm going to the track again tonight. I swear, if I dont beat my last times, I will kick my car Since my last time, I have done the following:
new PCV valve
spark plugs
spark plug wires
distributor cap
rotor
replaced homemade intake with PR CAI(noticeable gains compared
to previous intake)
I'm not doing my "weight reduction" tonight, leaving in my sub and spare tire. The only thing I plan on doing different is staying outta the water box completely. I might drop the fronts to 22 psi, but I'm leaving the back around 32 because I still have to drive out to the track. Anyways, I'll let you guys know how I did.

cool. I went to his house on Sunday and he put the CAI in for me. I think my old intake had an air leak or something, because this things pulls! I could tell the difference even before I went the 200 miles before my ECU adjusts. I'm gonna advance my timing tonight too.

the best part about tonight was taking everybody off the line bad. I love the torque on these motors, I just with there was some highend to back it up,lol. My mod's have helped me, but I was really hoping for low 16s.
On a side note, since the isntallation of the CAI, my previous best of 260 miles to one tank has been shattered by the new best of 330. I'm thinking my old intake had an air leak or something. Ah well.

Not bad but the car should run better. How much did it weigh, I believe either I had a more powerful engine or I have to be an excellent driver (I doubt that highly)? Below are my mods, maybe you should dyno the car or test the knock sensor? Your car is trapping the same as mine did but your 1/8 ET/trap are lower. Something somewhere is taking the power away from your car, or it could be that your shift points aren't the best. One thing is for sure your car is definitly more powerful than mine was after the 1/8.
