Dual Exhaust From Headers

Any one have any idea as to how I could put a dual exhaust system from the headers, all the way back... i was told this could not be done by running one pipe on each side of the car, because the gas tank is in the way. But I am determined to do this. Is it possible to run a second pipe beside the first one? Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated. Thanx!

1)I'm not sure TRUE dual exhaust is even physically possible. You could do a crossover pipe into duals, but that wouldnt be a *true* dual exhaust like you want to run. I highly doubt it's physically possible. Get under the car and see for yourself.

2) What's your reason for this? There's certainly not going to be any sort of power advantage to be gained.

3)If you're that determined for a "difficult" and worth while project, save your time, energy, and money for something more useful. *cough* turbo *cough*

Also what part of Dallas you from?

It would be a little more free flowing.. that is one of my reasons for doing this.. anither reason, although i need not justify my thoughts, Is to be unique.. its never or almost never been done.. on the other subject.. im im Sherman... 60 Miles north of dallas.

Flyry has a custom Y-pipe into duals that go back after the Y, not a pipe from each manifold back.

The reason it's almost never been done (I doubt it's actually been done before with true duals) is because there's no power to be gained and it would be totally unnecessary.

I guess anything is possible with enough time and money, but you're certainly not gonna make enough power over a conventional exhaust setup to justify that money.

Its not about the money, or the power in this case... Its about Maxima Pride, and being different. Nothing More. Nothing Less.

I just about had to fight my shop from fitting true duals when I had my exhuast fabricated. They wanted to run them straight off the custom headers with a twin in/out cat. It would be purely for the 'look' but certainly possible.
