About 30hp and 15 ftlbs of torque:

VG: sohc heads/2 valver, uses distributor/plug wires and one coil. Diff intake manifold.

VE: dohc heads/4 valver, uses one coil per plug, crank angle sensor instead of a distributor(much better) 5-sps feature a 2-staged intaked manifold(like the VG) Ve also used VTC assemblies on the intake cams for more high end hp and torque.
