ABS Light

ABS Light
Drove my 93 Max the other morning and applied the brakes at low speed and the brake pedal started to pulsate strangley, then the ABS Light came on.So now when I start the car every time and drive then apply the brakes gently at low speed the same thing keeps happening. ( Strange Pulsating effect from the brake pedal & the ABS light comes on.)( I know when the ABS is activated at a certain speed and then braking suddenly you do get the brake pedal pulsating..but this seems different)
The Brake pads were changed 2 months ago.
The rotors are to spec.
Any ideas will...?

You probably have a messed up wheel speed sensor. The car THINKS that the car is skidding, so the ABS comes on. You need to track which corner has the bad sensor and replace it. (Don't know exactly how to do that.... anyone?) You should be able to pull the fuse on the ABS system and turn the ABS system off all together. This will eliminate your problem, but it also gets rid of ABS...

The computer for the ABS is located in the trunk, underneath the rear speaker deck. Drive your car for about a mile or so and stop. Do not shut off the car, open the trunk, contort your body to view the LED light on the ABS computer, count the number of flashes. Make sure you double check, because the computer may be throwing more han one code. After that, post on this thread the flash count and I will tell you what needs to be replaced. If you are getting a weird pulsation before the ABS light comes on, my guess is that the ABS actuator assembly ,located next to the windshield wiper fluid resivoir, has a solenoid problem. Also, once the computer stores a code, it will always come on after the computer runs a diagnostic for operation purposes. This usually occurs once you reach 35 mph. Let me know..........
