Extra gauges
#1
I was wondering who has some extra gauges, and where they put them. I am thinking that it would be nice to monitor my engine and tranny a little better. I was thinking of Oil Presure, Tranny temp, and water temp. What do you guys think? And where should I put them? I thought that they might fit under the stereo where that pop out bin is. Does that seem fesible?
Thanks for the help.

gauges
There's only one company I know that makes 45mm gauges that would fit in that small slot. http://www.omorimeter.co.jp/ I dont know if they have a U.S. distributor either.
If you want to fit standard sized gauges (52mm), you're gonna have to do some custom work (trim the plastic panel) to fit them in (like VDO or Greddy).
One idea I had was to see if another car happened to have a gauge set from the factory that is the same size to fit in that slot.
Only one comes to mind at the moment. It was on a Nissan from about the same era. The bad (or good) news? It's on the R32 Skyline GT-R.

You can fit the gauges if you get them in 2 1/16 size. The summit racing part #'s are ATM-3332 for water temp $52.95, ATM-3321 for oil psi $33.95, ATM-3357 for tranny temp (electrical)$39.95. I suggest using steel braided lines for the oil and water temp, becuase the nylon tubing will break and leak.
