Like so many others, my brake lights quit working... today. My shifter also wont shift without the overide button depressed, so I am sure its the switch on the brake pedal. I never use cruise control and I know there is a switch for the brakes, and one for the cruise control disengage. My question is, can I splice the one harness to work in the other switch? Im pretty sure the difference in the switches is only the harness on it. I need to fix this before I go out tonight... not having brake lights is a very bad thing!!!

And on a last note, any ideas on how much this switch costs from nissan? if its too much, Im gonna rig my own with a switch from radio shack, at the moment I'm all about rigging.
