headlight problem

This one to me is strange .

I have a 94 Maxima GXE. It is the Pearl white and only has 70K miles on it so I'd like to keep it.
Any way, I went out the other day and only my left front headlight was on.It was the daytime and the light switch was off. I started the car up. Checked the normal operation of the lights ( front and rear). Turned the car off and the left light stayed on.
Does this sound familar? I was asking before I started the obvious abd trouble shot the harness.

Hey guys,

Anyone help me with the headlight problem?

Weekend is coming and I would like to spend more time driving and less time under it looking at wires.

if you havent already, check your relays. blow air in there and try and get any dirt or foriegn objects out of the receiveing holes. there could be a metal shaving or something. once youve done that, check the connections around the relay and then check the wires and the bulb harnesses. my bet is that its in the relay and its making contact, or its the wires near the relay. i dont think it would be your switch because that will turn them both on, so they would both stay on if that was the case. if you dont have access to a compressor or something that could clean it out good, you might try a can of compressed air for cleaning computers. or try a rag with some rubbing alcohol on it and push it between the recievers.

good luck
