Question about model number of our engines

I have a bet goin on right now with a friend at my work...he says that my 89 Se is not a VG engine...he says its a VQ. i know hes wrong. Isn't the VQ the newer maxima's engine..? He says the VG engine is a 300zx engine, which it is, but that engine is a VG30DETT motor while mine is a VG30E, right? how can i prove him wrong???

I NEED $10 BAD!!!!!!!!

hate to say it but your friend needs to have his mouth washed out with soap.....

VG30e IS in your car
VG30e is in 84-89 non-turbo 300zx
VG30eT is in 84-89 turbo 300zx
VG30DETT is in 90-96 twin turbo 300zx

I'm not even going into the VQ...
