wipers stuck under hood?

Has this ever happened to anyone? Apparently the guys who inspected my car shut the hood over the wipers somehow so when I tried to turn them on last night in the pouring rain I just heard them trying to move under there.... After popping the hood and pulling them out they worked fine though, so no big deal.

Today I was looking at the car and it seems that if you shut the hood w/the wipers all the way down they'll be stuck under it. Is this normal for our cars or is mine messed up somehow?

sounds like they messed it up, or your car has some body panel alignment issues (has it ever been wrecked?)

they shouldn't ever get stuck under the hood like that, unless the hood is bent or the wipers are messed up. check it out and see what you come up with, but it shouldn't do that.

Actually, I just noticed this same thing as well. About a month ago, one of my wipers (drivers side) got caught under the hood, and now it hits the edge of the hood and takes the paint off whenever I use them.

hmm, maybe the wipers were replaced w/the wrong model? don't think it was crashed but I wouldn't rule it out. Just curious to see if it was a common issue or something strange. Thanks.
