Anyone had experiences good/bad/otherwise with the Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs in a 93 SE?

Just use stockers. Just as good, if not better.

After some research and testing....

I have found the NGK OEM spark plugs to be very cost effective. Bosch spark plugs don't seem to "out-perform" the NGK's. This is from what I have experienced from using multiple number of different spark plugs for test purposes only.

I've tried the +4's and they sucked. I took them back and demanded my money back. My Max started missing all over the band! Most items you buy in stores (most don't know this) don't have a "warrenty." They have what is called a Satisfaction Guarantee. This means that if not satisfied, can return them or have them replaced. I did this with my NGK 8mm wires. One broke while installing my Jacobs, called NGK, they said they would replace them. They did, I wasn't satisfied with the thought of replacing a good set of wires because of one defect! Go the Consumer!

I tried Bosch Platinum over in Germany....my Max would not run at all. Idle was fine...put a load on the engine and it would miss. Believe it or not....I went to Bosch Copper and it worked like a champ! Go figure!!!

$500.00 ???!!! My total was $370.94 with tax, delivery, everything! Of course, I jewed the guy down and told him he could keep the free gift which was either a spark plug gapper, shirt (I need a 3X), or battery isolator. The first time I called I was quoted a price of around $600 for the Pro Street Jacobs. I thought that was too much and talked to another guy that said the Pro Street wasn't needed and had extras on it that I couldn't use, like a rev limiter, Max's already have one. So, I bought the I.C.E. Pack and I love it! I just put in NGK V-tech plugs gapped at 64 thousandths like they recommended. I already had the K&N filter, straight pipe exhaust, advanced timing, NGK 8mm wires, fuel pressure riser, custom CAI. So, I thought I needed to work on spark next. I felt some better pick up about 500- 1,000 rpm's lower on the band and my fuel effeciancy increased by around 50+ miles a tank. I've got pics of it. I think I'm ready for an ECU upgrade now!
