no it is not. The panel filter is simply a 4"x 8" (approx) square filter that drops into the stock airbox.

I had the filter at the same time when i hacked my airbox into a custom CAI with a seperate intake tube. This set up was def better than my stock, but i cant say that you will notice any gains with just a drop in filter....

Without an upgraded airbox/setup you will not notice any increase. Actually you will end up loosing 1-2 hp if you drop a K&N into a stock airbox. Stick with the $7 paper filter at autozone. Just make sure to change it every 10K miles or so. The link below is what helped me make my final descision to stick with the stock paper filter w/ the stock setup.

In all honesty, I would not recommend upgrading the intake if you are not planning on doing any other upgrades. If i were you save the money that you would of used for an intake and upgrade the y-pipe. CAI's will not gain more than 2-3 hp and the only thing different is the sound. Answering your question, any CAI will do the job, even the eBay ones. If you really wanted to, you could just go to autozone and get the piping and filter and do it yourself. Read the stickies as there is info regarding this topic within them.
